Why tour with us
North Otago has a special place in our hearts. Oamaru is where my parents were born and the town where I spent a lot of my school holidays / stayed during the school holidays growing up / in the ‘70s. My father spent many days sailing in Oamaru harbour as a sea-scout. My mother spent hours after school at the Oamaru Mail where her father was the newspaper’s manager at the time. I remember exploring the old seed and grain warehouses around the harbour area. Although the Oamaru stone buildings were still clearly magnificent even back then, they were worn by time and general unuse. Now thanks to the initiative, foresight, generosity and hard work of a group of passionate folk, the buildings have been restored to their former glory and the area has regained the vitality of before as the Victorian Precinct. There is so much to explore in the township and the Waitaki district. We would love to share the area with you. Let us know (whether you have) how many days your group has to spare (at least 2), and we’ll create a trip for you to remember and share with others.

In Tekapo, experience a scenic helicopter ride, and a unique star-gazing experience to be marvelled at.
