Dunedin City is home to New Zealand’s oldest University – Otago University founded in 1869. Then there is the stunning Railway Station built in the Edwardian Baroque style, a reminder of Dunedin’s past, and is the city’s most famous monument, plus the Railway Station is New Zealand’s most photographed building!
There is so much to see and do in Dunedin, there are historic homes to visit, explore the Otago Peninsula, and meet the wildlife which includes the Hoiho – Yellow Eyed Penguins, New Zealand Fur Seals and the Royal Albatross.
Tour Summary
Start with a tour of one of the world’s steepest streets, Baldwin Street. Meander through the Gardens and enjoy some nature. Check out the Dunedin Museum and Railway station. Visit Larnach Castle and out to the Otago Peninsular to the Royal Albatross Centre nestled at the foot of Taiaroa Head.
